St. Catherine Monastery
After sunrise, descend the mountain and visit St. Catherine’s Monastery, located at the base of the mountain.
St. Catherine’s Monastery is one of the most famous in the world, built between 527 and 565 AD.
It is believed to have been built around Moses’ burning bush.
The monastery is named after St. Catherine, who was tortured and beheaded for her Christian beliefs.
During your visit, you will see the Greek Orthodox Church, the icons of worship, and the famous Mosaic of Transfiguration.
The monastery houses the Chapel of the Burning Bush, said to be the site where Moses saw the burning bush.
Priceless works of art, monastery icons, and one of the most important collections of illuminated manuscripts in the world are all housed in the monastery complex

Evening trip 20:00 -
• Pick-up from your hotel in Sharm El Sheikh around 08:00 PM
• Take a comfortable, air-conditioned bus ride of approximately 2–3 hours to the St. Catherine Monastery area.
• Begin your hike up Mount Sinai (also known as Jebel Musa) around 1:00 AM, accompanied by a local guide, You can choose to hike all the way up, or take a camel for part of the ascent (additional cost).
• During the hike to the summit, there are rest stops along the way where you can purchase snacks and drinks from Bedouin vendors.
• Reach the summit in time to witness the spectacular sunrise over the surrounding mountains.
• After enjoying the view, descend the mountain to visit St. Catherine's Monastery, one of the oldest continuously operating monasteries in the world.
• Explore the chapels, gardens, and library, and admire the religious icons and artwork.
• Head back to Sharm El Sheikh, with an expected arrival time between 01:30 and 02:00 PM
