Nabq Nature Reserve | Amazing Jeep Safari Sharm el Sheikh
Nabq Nature Reserve, or Nabq National Park of Egypt, offers much more than you expect, as the sea and the desert allow you to do activities, such as a Jeep safari in Sharm el Sheikh desert, skiing on the dunes, snorkeling, diving, and camel tours along the sea, as well as learning about the life of the Bedouins on-site.
Nabq Nature Reserve is a stunning beauty located a few minutes north of Sharm El-Sheikh Airport. Nabq was declared a nature reserve in 1992, covering an area of 600 square kilometers that spans both sea and land.
The reserve is inhabited by Bedouins who live off fishing and is a popular destination for nature lovers, as tourists come to camp and observe wildlife and migratory birds.
The Mangrove Trees in the Nabq Natural Reserve
The mangrove forest in Nabq is the last tropical extension of its growth in the Indian Ocean and the Red Sea.
Mangrove trees live in salt water; the plant can extract fresh water and eliminate salt through the leaves.
Nabq National Park Tour
The tour starts in the morning with a Toyota 4×4 Jeep from your hotel to Nabq Bay National Park, the famous park in Nabq, about 15 kilometers from the Sharm el Sheikh airport.
Jeep Safari in Sharm el Sheikh Desert
Once we enter the Nabq park, we immediately begin the safari in a Toyota 4×4 Jeep, an unforgettable adventure in the desert between the dunes and rock mountains to explore the Sinai Desert.
Nabq Canyon
We leave the Jeep and start a walk in the Nabq Canyon between the colored rocks that form glorious mountains. We enjoy nature and take impressive photos.
Skiing on the dunes
We take the Jeeps again to continue the adventure until we reach the dune, where you can ski on the sand. Imagine the difference between skiing on ice and skiing on the sand in the desert.
Camel rides along the Gulf of Aqaba
We continue with Jeeps to the seacoast, where we settle in the Bedouin tent in the desert, and also on the Gulf of Aqaba, where we take a ride on a camel called by the Arabs the ship of the desert.
The Bedouin Tent
In the Bedouin tent, we will give you interesting information about the Bedouins’ life in the desert, and you will also taste the Bedouin bread cooked on the spot with only flour, water, and salt.
We will have the opportunity to learn about Bedouin products, including the possibility of purchasing handmade items crafted by Bedouin women, such as bracelets, necklaces, and many more.
Finally, we take the Jeep to go back to your hotel at lunchtime.

Information about Nabq National Park:
The Nabq Protected Area National Park is located north of Sharm el-Sheikh and is one of the most fascinating natural areas in the Sinai. Established in 1992, the park protects an extraordinary variety of ecosystems, including coral reefs, mangroves, and arid deserts. The mangroves, in particular, are among the most important in the Red Sea and provide refuge for numerous marine species and migratory birds.
The park is renowned for its biodiversity: colorful fish, crustaceans, reptiles, and rare birds can be observed.
The crystal-clear waters attract snorkeling and diving enthusiasts, while the desert interior offers evocative landscapes with dunes and mountains.
The Nabq Bay Sharm el Sheikh Protected Area is also an important site for environmental conservation, contributing to the protection of natural habitats and promoting sustainable tourism in the Sinai region.
