The Grand Egyptian Museum, the GEM
The Grand Egyptian Museum, officially opened on November 1, 2025, is the largest archaeological museum in the world.
With a floor area of 500,000 square meters, the Grand Egyptian Museum is a testament to the convergence of imagination, intellect, and creativity, which has given rise to a unique and distinctive architectural design for this magnificent cultural monument.
The main entrance spans 7,000 square meters and houses the majestic statue of King Ramses II and five colossal artifacts.
The Hall of King Tutankhamun spans 7,500 square meters and houses 5,000 artifacts from the king’s treasures, displayed together for the first time.
